Welcome to CrossFit Tigard, we are part of and share space with Oregon Self-Defense & Fitness.  We are located at 11945 SW Pacific Hwy, Suite 230, Tigard, Oregon 97223,  in the Tigard Plaza Mall,  (Look for Jo-Ann Fabrics, Gaffer’s Fish & Chips and Dollar Tree). We are in the back in the breezeway, above the Laundromat and across from Tigard Pizza Kitchen. It’s a little hard to find us, but we really are here! Our number is 503-968-6400.

What is CrossFit? CrossFit can be defined as the sport of fitness. It is constantly varied, high intensity, functional movements.  So what does that mean? Constantly varied means we changes things up every day, we occasionally, but infrequently, do the same workout. This means you won’t get bored doing a routine workout.  It also means you will be prepared for the unexpected challenges life hands you.  High intensity means we go hard.  If you want to get in shape, you need to go hard. If you are going to do a boring, low intensity jaunt on an elliptical machine, why bother?  Functional movements are movements which are necessary to life. Take the squat for example, this movement could allow you to pick up a grocery bag or a toddler. Functional movements are compound, yet irreducible.  Looking again at the squat, it uses various joints, the hips, knees and ankles to name a few, yet it cannot be broken down into smaller movements.
